-mêr can, as far as the vowel (ê) is concerned, be regarded as
typically Gothic. In North and West Germanic, Proto-Germanic ê1 (e-
one) > â (but OE æ/ae) vs. Gothic > ê. This, I think, is a useful
feature to distinguish Gothic from other Germanic names (e.g. in
Spanish names on _-mir/mil_ etc.).
Also, Gothic names should have -ric, not -rich (_ch_ = back-spirant
[x], later [ç]), as the latter is High German.
