Markers of Gothicness (*Gutarbi?)

I'd like to see what proportion of the people of Moesia Secunda and
Scythia Minor considered themselves Goths, vs. how many considered
themselves Romans, both, or neither. If the provinces were mostly
'Roman' certain historical interpretations follow; if it was mostly
non-Roman or largely Gothic, other ones follow instead.

Chernyakhov wheel-made pottery basically resembles Roman wheel-made
pottery so it's not an important way of asserting identity. Burial
patterns and clothing styles strike me as more useful (potential)
markers and I'm wondering if anyone can outline/introduce the lit. on
the subject, ideally comparing Chernyakhov patterns, late Roman
patterns, and northern Balkan patterns.
