SYMPOSIUM COMMEMORATING THE 1500th ANNIVERSARY
OF THE BATTLE OF VOUILLE
On April 21, 2007, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign will host
a Symposium Commemorating the 1500th Anniversary of the Battle of Vouille,
the battle where in 507 the Franks destroyed the Visigothic Kingdom of
Toulouse and where, according to a plaque placed in Vouille, "commenca la
France." The symposium will meet on the first floor of the Levis Faculty
Center on the UIUC campus with the following program:
