I got difficulties in pronouncing words ending in 'w'.

I think the rules are:

pronounced as "w":
-beginning of word/followed by vowel: wastjan, friathwa, aiwa (D), siggwan
-as part of Gothic letter "hw": saihwan, hwa, hwar, duhwe, etc.

pronounced as "u":
-end of word/end of word (+) "s": saggws, aiws, waurstw, hlaiw (exception: when part of letter "hw", e.g. gasahw is pronounced with "w").
-followed by "j": waurstwja, manwjan

here are words that has both kinds of "w": (atwalwjan, waurstw, waurstwja) the first one "w", the second "u".
