The distance in time between those two languages are a few centuries. I have noticed how some words are very similare:

 ik im - ic eom
 frijonds - frẽond
 ufta - oft
 ak - ac
 and-wairths - andweard
 aihts - aeht
 brothar - broðor
 and-wairthi - andwlita
 man-leika - anlicnes

Although some words are the same I still see a lot of differences. I guess that the fact that they have been seperated from eachother too long so that the language of the Jutes and Saxons started to differ a lot from that of their relatives in continental Europe.
