[gothic-l] Re: The first letter of apostle John and other parts translated

I can host the translations on yeihosbokos.wordpress.com/scriptures-in-gothic/ . Only Genesis 1 has been entered so far. To prevent double work, translators may announce beforehand which chapter they begin to translate. Do not map out too many chapters or else it might begin to feel more like work than leisure.
The names of biblical books are not cut in stone and some of my choices are really speculative. I welcome ideas! A fun part of this will be when a new Gothic manuscript gets discovered and we compare the text with our translation. :)

Unfortunately, I only have a basic understanding of Russian and my Russian is not even good enough to have a good simple conversation. So if I try to contact them, it would be in very broken Russian. But I guess they speak English too, as the one above ru-arianism has parts in English.

Because we can directly go to it here, we can directly use it for our Bible translation if we want parts of the Old Testament too, so that nobody of us will do unnecessary work which has already been done. If anyone knows or has contact with Thiudans, you could ask him if he wants to be mentioned with his full name in a possible published Gothic Bible or just with his nickname. If he gives no reply we will use his nickname, which should be fair enough. I will post any other already done Bible translations here so that we don't do any extra work.
