Does anyone have a grammatical explanation, which I can't seem to easily find, about the vocative in Gothic?
What I found is: magus, has the singular vocative ==> magau
So I guess that u-stem nouns turn into the dative singular form when you speak directly to a person and mention him/her.
The word dags has ==> dag
So singular a-stem nouns turn into the accusative form, generally.
atta ==> atta, so n-stem nouns turn in the nominative singular form, generally.
Does anyone know more about it?
