Colin Baker is Professor of Education at the University of Wales at
Bangor and Director of Research Centre Wales. He has published several
books with Multilingual Matters including Encyclopedia of Bilingual
Education & Bilingualism (1998, with Sylvia Prys Jones) A Parents' and
Teachers' Guide to Bilingualism (second edition, 2000) The Care &
