We are seeking an exceptional educator to lead the K-8 Amigos School, =
founded on a developmental Spanish-English, bilingual program based on a =
two-way language immersion approach. Amigos serves native speakers of =
English and native speakers of Spanish, kindergarten through eighth =
grade. Amgios offers a rigorous academic experience in two languages =
while providing the opportunity to cultivate friendship and respect =
among the diverse ethnic and linguistic groups represented in the school =
community. The goals of biliteracy and cultural competence for students, =
staff and families are the core of the Amigos mission.
Candidates should posses deep commitment to full bilingualism and =
excellent English/Spanish skills; Master's Degree or higher from an =
accredited college or university with graduate courses in school =
administration; a minimum of 5 years teaching and/or administrative =
experience preferably in a two-way bilingual immersion program in an =
urban elementary school setting; and MA certification as K-8 Principal =
(or ability to be certified).
Salary: $79,076-$86,880.
