Thanks Scott. Others have suggested two other sources. But the numbers are
inconsistent. One, the Ethnologue, http://www.ethnologue.org/ , lists
900,000 speakers of Western Farsi. But according to the 1990 U.S. census,
http://www.census.gov, there are 200,000 speakers of Persian.
