Call for Papers: MLA Division of Language and Society. The Division on
Language and Society seeks papers on any appropriate topic, and has
special interest in these areas: minority languages and language
varieties; linguistic variety and its representation in literature and
popular media; language legislation and linguistic rights.

The MLA conference will be held December 27-30, 2002, in New York City.
To present at the conference you must be an MLA member by June 1.
