Relative clauses and `reconstruction' (fwd)

Dear all,
I am  looking for  HPSG work on what in GB/Minimalist literature is known as
`reconstruction' for anaphor and quantifier binding. I am particularly
interested in data involving relative clauses like the following:

1. The portrait of himself_j that John_j painted is extremely flattering.
2. The interest in each other_j that John and Mary_j showed was fleeting.
