Tilden Park hike/picnic

Following recent LFG tradition, there will be a social event in
Berkeley on Tuesday, July 18, the day before the beginning of the
Berkeley Formal Grammar Conference. This will involve a hike and
picnic lunch in Tilden Park, a beautiful area not too far from the
Berkeley campus.  This event is not restricted to the LFG community,
but is open to anyone attending the Berkeley Formal Grammar
conference.  Information about Tilden Park is available at:

Transportation to and from the Unit 3 conference dormitory as well as
a box lunch will be provided at a cost of $15.  There will be no
charge for participation in the hike, so if you prefer to get to
Tilden Park on your own and and pack your own lunch, you are welcome
to meet us there at 9:00 AM on July 18.  Other activities are also
available, including swimming in Lake Anza, for which a fee of $2.50
is charged, as well as golfing and a range of child-oriented

Please let me know by JULY 7 if you plan to attend the hike and you
would like TRANSPORTATION/BOX LUNCH.

Please let me know by JULY 15 if you plan to attend the hike and would
like DRINKS/SNACKS (and no transportation or box lunch.)

If you are interested in the picnic/hike and can bring your own lunch,
drinks, and snacks, please come to the Orchard picnic site in Tilden
Park at 9:00 AM on July 18.
