A minor cautionary tale:

Just don't do what I did and write a (well-behaved) robot script to grab
domain-specific texts from a scientific journal's website. Although we had
paid for access to the texts for "individual research" (as per the
publishers' policy), it took some explaining to the publishers and their
lawyers that we weren't building a competing database.

So, like, don't try this at home. :-)
