WYSIWYG LaTeX-editor for Linux

Hi everybody,

sorry for the mundane question from someone who doesn't like emacs: do
the WYSIWYG LaTeX-editors for Linux (I know of Lyx and Kile) work
alright with the standard HPSG macros for drawing trees, avms, etc? If
there are several that work, is one better than the others?

I want to avoid wasting a lot of time on something that in the end will
not work anyway.
