LFG 2004: Travel Update

Dear All

This information concerns travel arrangements for the LFG 2004 Winter
School and Conference in Christchurch, NZ. It is especially relevant for
anyone who has considered submitting an abstract or attending but has been
put off by the cost of travel.

Air New Zealand has just announced direct flights from San Francisco to
Auckland.

To launch this new route, they have a fare special of US$747 (plus taxes,
etc.) for the round trip.

Travel can commence no earlier than June 30th, but the Winter School does
not start until July 4th.

I tried out the web site and got a total fare including taxes of
US$811.95. You of course need to purchase a further ticket from Auckland
to Christchurch, but that is not very expensive.

*Important*: The closing date for the sale is February 16, 2004.
