Promoting interest in Linguistics

Following up on the comments of Emily, Paola,
Gosse, Georgia, Shalom, Farrell, Ash (I hope
I didn't leave anyone out), perhaps the Federated
Logic Conferences offer a model of useful
consolidation, in the spirit of the 1998 FG/HPSG
conference at Saarbr"ucken and the 2001 FG/MOL
conference at Helsinki. The parallels between
conference multiplication and unification are
