Job Description:     Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Reader in Sociolinguistics


The Department of Language and Linguistics are looking to appoint a
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Reader to contribute to the research and teaching
in the field of Sociolinguistics, with a specialisation in language
variation and change. Duties will also include supervision of undergraduate
projects, MA and PhD dissertations and to contribute to the successful
administration of the Department.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in producing high
quality publications in leading international journals, in attracting
external research funding, and in providing high quality teaching (or be
able to demonstrate clear evidence of potential in all of these, in the
case of less experienced applicants).

Salary range: £36,715-£52,347 per annum
