[HPSG-L] HPSG and Innateness

Hi everybody,

Long time no discussion of content on this list ...

Bob and me coauthored a paper and we made claims about HPSG
practitioners and the assumption of innate domain specific knowledge
about language. I reviewer remarked correctly that this is an
impressionistic statement and that we did not do a poll on this. So here
is the poll:

Do you assume innate domain-specific knowledge?

1) yes, in print, it is part of my analysis (please provide reference)

2) yes, but my analyses do not rely on this

3) I did so but changed my mind in YEAR

4) no

Could you please reply to me till Friday and I will then post a summary
and we can discuss this on the list (if there is interest)
