Dear everybody,
This is to announce my new textbook on Germanic syntax. I show how a
light version of HPSG can account for the variation among the Germanic
languages. Germanic is great since it has SVO and SOV, V2 and non-V2
(English). It has Icelandic with quirky case. Interesting questions
about crosslinguistic definitions of subject.
Languages with scrambling and languages without scrambling and Yiddish.
It is all in there. The book should be usable as a textbook for BA
students. If you have any comments or feedback, this would be welcome.
