Dear all,

I have received further information from several people about
the construction discussed in Beavers and Sag (2004).
Here is the summary.

Anette Frank writes that the German translations of the Beavers and
Sag sentences, listed below, sound perfectly grammatical to her:

Jan reist morgen nach Rom, am Freitag nach Paris und fliegt am
   Sonntag nach Tokyo.

Jan wird morgen nach Rom reisen, am Freitag nach Paris, und wird
   am Sonntag nach Tokyo fliegen.

Jan wollte Medizin studieren als er 11 war, Jura als er 13 war,
und (wollte) überhaupt nichts studieren als er 18 war.

Anne Abeillé writes that François Mouret's paper available at
https://proceedings.hpsg.xyz/article/view/651
notes that the construction is possible in French.
Section 4.3 of the paper cites the following example:

Paul ira à Rome demain, à Paris vendredi ??(et se rendra à Tokyo
   dimanche).

And David Moeljadi writes that the construction is possible in Indonesian
as well. The following are the Indonesian translations of the Beavers
and Sag sentences.

Jan jalan-jalan ke Roma besok, ke Paris hari Jumat, dan terbang ke
   Tokyo hari Minggu.

Jan mau belajar kedokteran waktu dia 11 tahun, hukum waktu dia 13 tahun,
dan tidak belajar apa-apa waktu dia 18 tahun.

I thank all those who have written to me again.

Shuichi
