The I-LanD Research Centre is delighted to invite you to the I-LanD Seminar Series – 3rd Edition.


Innovative in nature, the I-LanD Seminar Series showcases convenors debating issues in their field(s) of expertise. The seminars aim to encourage speakers to reveal insights, introduce adopted methodologies, highlight pitfalls, and expand knowledge in a given area.

A lead host will start the seminar with a brief introduction regarding the general topic of the seminar, and four speakers will have the opportunity to step in in turn with a 10-minute presentation (without PowerPoint). After the four presentations, a discussion among the panellists will begin, followed by a Q&A session involving the whole audience.
Scholars, young academics (e.g., PhD students, junior researchers, etc.), and students are actively encouraged to join in and learn more about the theoretical approaches and methodologies adopted in a given field of investigation.


This year's seminars are organised by Giuseppe Balirano (University of Naples L'Orientale) and Marina Niceforo (University of Naples L'Orientale). You'll find the programme for this new Edition attached.


The first seminar, scheduled for Thursday 29th February 2024, via MS Teams from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (CET), will focus on Interdisciplinarity and Critical Aspects in Discourse Studies.
