We are delighted to announce the keynote speakers for the 10th edition of the Languaging Diversity International Conference, which will take place at the University of Naples L’Orientale from 8 to 10 June 2027:

Jannis Androutsopoulos
University of Hamburg

Vera Gheno
University of Florence

Don Kulick
Uppsala University

The conference, titled "Back to the Future: Languaging Diversity in an Age of Instability, Mobility, and Transformation", will bring together scholars interested in the ways language and discourse respond to, and participate in, contemporary processes of mobility, instability, social change, identity negotiation, exclusion, belonging, and representation.

The return of Languaging Diversity to Naples, where the conference series was first launched in 2013, marks an important milestone for the I-LanD Research Centre. We are particularly pleased that Jannis Androutsopoulos, Vera Gheno and Don Kulick will contribute to this special edition of the conference through their distinctive and internationally recognised perspectives on language, diversity, identity, and social transformation.
