Dear all,

We are pleased to share the Call for Papers for a special issue of Lingue e Linguaggi, entitled "Redefining English teaching and learning in digital contexts at tertiary level", edited by Federico Gaspari (Università Telematica San Raffaele di Roma) and Roxanne Holly Padley (Università Telematica Pegaso).

This special issue focuses on how English teaching and learning at university are being redefined in digital contexts, with particular attention to the opportunities and challenges posed by new technologies, generative AI, online platforms, virtual environments, and emerging pedagogical approaches. Contributions are invited on a wide range of themes related to digital language education at undergraduate and postgraduate level, including innovative curriculum design, gamification, accessibility and inclusion, learner autonomy, assessment and feedback, and the role of translation and internationalisation in English-medium teaching and learning.

Key Dates:
- Abstract proposals in English (maximum 300 words, excluding references) due: 15 May 2026
- Notification of acceptance: 1 June 2026
- Full manuscript submission deadline: 18 September 2026
- Revised papers due: 1 February 2027
- Publication: 2027
