Recognizing the value of preserving Native American languages for future
generations, this conference responds to the threat of linguistic extinction
for Native American languages.  The program includes panel discussions and
workshops on topics such as native language teaching strategies, teacher
certification, archiving and the application of technology to language
preservation.
