40th International Conference on Salish and Neighbouring Languages

August 10-12, 2005

This year's ICSNL 40 conference will be hosted by the Musqueam Indian
Band, the University of British Columbia First Nations Languages
Program, and the University of British Columbia Department of
Linguistics. The conference will take place on the Musqueam Indian
Reserve in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Wednesday August 10 through
Friday August 12, 2005. Papers on all aspects of the study,
preservation, and teaching of Salish and neighbouring languages are
welcome.
Papers for the ICSNL pre-print volume, which will be compiled and
distributed prior to the conference by the University of British
Columbia Working Papers in Linguistics, should be submitted to the
UBCWPL editors (address below) by Friday, May 27, 2005. Please note
that, as in previous years, there will also be an opportunity in the
conference program for the presentation of papers not included in the
pre-print volume.
Guidelines for paper submissions to UBCWPL ICSNL 40: There are no page
limits. Electronic submissions are encouraged. Word files with any
special fonts will be accepted; however, PDF files are preferred. A
style sheet is available at http://www.linguistics.ubc.ca/UBCWPL/.
