Hi, all,

   I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience using a Sony DCR-SR100 camcorder for fieldwork? I'm looking for an affordable camcorder that automatically encodes into MPEG2 format, to avoid any loss in quality of recording. Any suggestions?
