After 25 years of labour, Wycliffe Bible Translators has produced a New
Testament in the Naskapi language, spoken in the Kawawachikamach community of
Quebec. The project was headed by Silas Nabinicaboo, a lay reader in the
aboriginal church, and Bill Jancewicz of Wycliffe. Every household in the
community -- located near the mining town of Schefferville, Quebec -- received
a copy at a public declaration ceremony September 16, with elders receiving
large print versions. -- Anglican Journal
