UH-Hilo offers unique doctorate program in Hawaiian language

The nation's first doctorate degree program in an indigenous language of the
United States is being offered here in Hilo.

Last fall, the College of Hawaiian Language at the University of Hawaii-Hilo
began offering the new degree in Hawaiian and indigenous language and
culture revitalization.
