Yup'ik immersion program at Hooper Bay a vital link

HOOPER BAY -- The Yup'ik immersion program at the Hooper Bay School has about
120 students enrolled in six classes.

The language lessons begin simply for students who are just starting school.
Most students learn English as their first language and start from scratch in
the classroom.
