# of Indigenous Languages today?

Hi all,

Is there a reference for the number of Indigenous languages spoken today in
North or South America?  I've run across several figures from the early
1990s, but I'm wondering if there is anything more recent. I recall a
possible post similar to this earlier...sorry if it was addressed there.
