AUSTRALIA: Indigenous languages dying out - 01/02/2008
There are concerns Australia's cultural heritage could be at risk if more is not
done to ensure the survival of indigenous languages. Academics say that before
the arrival of Europeans Australia was home to more than 250 indigenous
languages. But they say since then more languages have become extinct in
Australia than on any other continent.
