Whistler – Garden-variety street signs are taking on new meaning in Mount
Currie, with a spate of bilingual stop signs recently springing up to proclaim
“t’állec” alongside the ordinary “stop” command.

The signs are just one piece of evidence of the continued work to share
knowledge about the Lil’wat language and culture throughout the traditional
Lil’wat territory and within the community itself.
