external hard drive recommendations?

You may be able to get by with just a hard drive with two firewire ports
to store/edit video. The lacie rugged hard drives can be daisy-chained
together; plug one into another into another and so on, and the first
plugs into the computer. Each comes up as a separate device. Moreover, you
can plug the camera into the last hard drive (or, into *it* if you're
using just one), and it has the huge benefit of allowing you to transfer
files between the camera and the hard drive without having them go through
your computer. If you have ever tried to transfer large video files,
you'll see the point of this.
