New law to help Indian languages survive

Gov. Schwarzenegger last week signed an Assembly Bill into law that Vincent
Armenta, tribal chairman of the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians, said will
greatly help the Chumash, and other California tribes preserve native
languages, many of which are on the brink of extinction.
