Apple apps are placing language at the cutting edge.

TAHLEQUAH — More than a century ago, fullblood Cherokee Soggy Sanders was
dubious about the telephone’s value after the first line had been installed
in Tahlequah. A quick demonstration convinced him otherwise.

“It talks in Cherokee,” he exclaimed.
