Uh-oh. Nemesis made my Nordic family tree below look a bit surrealistic.
What I meant was:
WEST NORDIC:
Old Norse (+) > Icelandic, Faroese, Norn (+), and Norwegian (Nynorsk)
EAST NORDIC:
*Old East Nordic (+) > Swedish, Gutnish (+), Danish, and Norwegian (Bokmål)
