-- the bow was commonly used in the Middle East, too; eg., there are Hittite
sculptures showing the Hittites using the chariot as an archery platform.
It's been suggested that Egyptians couldn't show foreigners shooting from
chariots because that was an iconographic symbol of conquest and victory.
