This wonderful argumentation seems to be somewhat 'neo-grammarian'.
Which has added much to our knowledge, but we know where the limits are.
Of course we must try to find out rules, but we must accept that there
always are many variations in natural languages and dialects, where these
rules only exist in written 'classical' literature (cf. sanskrit).

After all, this is an Indo-European list, and therefore I looked for a
possible loan influence.
