Dear Rich and IEists:

Without reopening the question of possible genetic influences on language
structure or phonology, I would only like to note for the record that the
definition of 'racism' in my dictionary (American Heritage) is "the nhotion
that one's own ethnic stock is superior".

I do not subscribe to this view; and hence, to characterize me as a 'racist'
is inappropriate and evidence of careless attendance to accuracy.
