For  "warg" the meaning "wolf" in Germanic is, however, secondary, see,
Weitenberg 1988: 194 (The Meaning of the expression "To Become a Wolf" in
Hittite", Perspectives on IE  Language, Culture, and Religion,  Journal of
Indo-European Studies: Monograph No. 7,) and the literature cited therein.
