cross-linguistic studies of polysemy?

I am sorry to ask what may sound like a foolish question; but with some of
the threads that have come up, I thought perhaps someone would know the
answer: Is there any readily-available, up-to-date information on the
relative extent of polysemy in different languages? In particular, is
polysemy more extensive in English than in some other languages, as has
been suggested to me?
