Dear colleagues,

thanks so much to the correspondents about the developmental anatomy
question.

For those that have asked the references I'd get, I'm sorry to say that
it seems that everybody is using Kent Ray's scheme (in Ferguson et al.,
1992), so we'll have to wait for more precise developmental pictures of
the laryngeal cavity (lowering of the vocal folds), the soft palate and
the tongue.
