Jon,
The SIL IPA fonts are fine. In fact, we are using CHILDES and TalkBank
funds now to work with SIL to develop a UniCode IPA font. Currently, files
in the CHILDES database use Henry Rogers IPAPhon font for Mac and PC. It
is available from
http://www.chass.utoronto.ca:8080/~rogers
This link is also available from the CHILDES home page through the last
link on the page.
Once the world moves to UniCode, which will happen over the next two years,
all current IPA fonts will break and data in them will have to be
reformatted, I'm afraid.
