Dear all,

I was running a Japanese language version of Elman's grammar learning task
and realized that there can be no more than two levels of center embedded
RELATIVE clauses (thus not including "he says/knows that..." etc.) in
Japanese. I can even prove it... and I'm sure it's a know fact.
I did some web search trying to find relevant papers with no success. Does
anybody know references? Or are there counter examples??

Any info. would be appreciated.
