I am investigating non-literal, including clearly metaphorical, uses of Motion Verbs in early child-adult interaction in Greek and English (both as L1). Could you send me any recent references and/or papers on metaphor and akin phenomena (e.g. fictive motion) in child language compatible with the Cognitive Theory of Metaphor? I am already aware of two relevant dissertations: C.R. Johnson (1999) and S. Ozcaliskan (2002).
I will post a summary of responses.
Thanks.
