You will find an extensive bibliography in the last edition (that does NOT
exist in French) in Hamers, J. F. & Blanc, M.H.A. (2000) Bilinguality and
bilingualism.  Cambridge University Press.   Relevant chapters include
chapter 2 on measurement, chapter 4 on cognitive development and the
sociocultural context of bilinguality, and chapter 11 on bilingual education.
