Peter,
     One more clue regarding connection speed.  If the folder listing  
on the left doesn't pop up within about five seconds, then your  
connection may be too slow to support video.  You should still be able  
to play audio, however.  You may also wish to examine some of the  
materials at talkbank.org where most of the materials are linked to  
media.
