2011-2016
The
Department of Human Development and Quantitative Methodology at the University
of Maryland has a National Institutes of Health (NIH) Graduate Training
Program in Social Development. This award provides predoctoral support for
graduate training in the area of social development, and funding to help with
the infrastructure of the training. The
purposes of graduate training in social development in the department are to
contribute to basic knowledge, to the synthesis of knowledge, and to the
integration of knowledge in research, practice, and policy in the multi-disciplinary

understanding of social-affective, social-cognitive, social-neuroscience,
social-relational, and social-cultural processes in normal and clinical
populations.
