    El Departamento de Literaturas y Lenguas Modernas de la
Universidad de Montreal (Canadá) anuncia la convocatoria de
dos plazas de profesor a tiempo completo:

1) Plaza de "professeur adjoint". UNIVERSITÉ DE MONTRÉAL,
   Faculté des arts et des sciences, DÉPARTEMENT DE
   LITTÉRATURES ET DE LANGUES MODERNES

    The Departement of Modern Literatures and Languages of
Université de Montréal invites applications for a
tenure-track full-time position in Hispanic Linguistics or
Literature at the rank of Assistant Professor effective
June 1st, 2000.

    Applicants must hold the degree of Ph.D. in Hispanic
Linguistics or Literature and possess a native or
near-native fluency in Spanish as well as a good knowledge
of written and oral French. This position requires a
demonstrated commitment to research in the area of Hispanic
linguistics or literature, and a solid formation in
linguistics.

    Experience in one of the following areas will be an
asset: medieval literature, translation, didactics of
the Spanish language. The candidate is expected to teach
and advise Masters students and (eventually) Ph.D.
students. S/he must also be prepared to teach at
undergraduate levels according to the needs of the programs
and to participate in the academic and administrative
activities of both the Department and the Hispanic Studies
Section. Deadline for application is February 1st, 2000.

Professor, effective June 1st 2000. Applicants must hold
the degree of Ph.D. in Hispanic Literature and possess a
native or near-native fluency in Spanish as well as a good
knowledge of written and oral French.

    This position requires a demonstrated commitment to
research in the area of modern Hispanic literature, and a
solid formation in methodology and theory of literature.
Experience in one of the following areas will be an asset:
translation, Hispanic linguistics and cinema. The candidate
is expected to pursue her/his research interests in modern
Spanish literature and to teach and advise Masters students
and (eventually) Ph.D. students. S/he must also be prepared
to teach at undergraduate levels according to the needs of
the programs, and to participate in the academic and
administrative activities of both the Department and the
Hispanic Studies Section.
